This extensive database is the work of Kevin
Eckert, the foremost Sprint Car Racing Historian of our time. |
There are many sites that have results, but by the end
of the week or month the information falls off the bottom of the page and is forgotten.
For Kevin, todays results are tomorrows history, stored in a
way that can be viewed by everyone, now and into the future. As the archive becomes complete, it will become a part of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame as a record of the many great Drivers, Car Owners, Tracks, Sanctions, and Races from past to present. |
Every player in the sport should be immortalized. The work that Kevin is doing today will stand as an account of the many people who have competed and are competing around the country and the world in Sprints, Midgets, SilverCrown, and Supermodifieds. Like the stats in the Baseball Hall of Fame, this work is a pillar in the foundation of Short Track Open Wheel Racing History. |
Take some time to search around. Search for a driver
that you know or that youve heard about and see their finishes over the years. This site is creating a lot of visitor traffic and deserves the support of the whole racing community. Promote your business or your team sponsors with an ad on Kevins site and it will benefit your business and the sport. Use the link to the right to email Kevin to arrange for advertising on the site. |

NOTES:
Track Search: Regarding a track search,
less is more. Keep it short, and leave off the word speedway or raceway. Use "Volusia
Co" rather than Volusia County; "81" rather than 81 Speedway. Tracks should
be referenced by their current names. Generally (but not always) the admin retroactively
names tracks by their present title. The speedways box can also utilize a race name like
Tony Hulman Classic or Kings Royal, rather than the track name.
Class/Region choices:

Finish Results: Many published accounts of older races only listed the top 5 or top 10 so information on lower finishing cars in those events is lost and are not in the database. This skews the totals and percentages.
Errors: Some errors may exist in an undertaking of this size. Every effort is made to maintain as much accuracy as possible.
